永遠記念！

智安，能夠與你同行人生最後一段路是恩典、是福氣，多謝你的信任，與我分享你的心路歷程。我欣賞你沉實、溫文、謙遜、刻苦的氣質。在患病當中，你勇敢面對，默然承受各種艱難、痛苦，卻沒有半句怨言。當醫生束手無策時，你沒有放棄生存的希望，與癌病爭戰到底，我為你生命的鬥志、無偽的信心，感到自豪。很喜歡你寫「遇禍遇福，兩般皆可」的那篇文章。現在你已經「任務完成，平安歸隊」，也成為一點星光，照亮在歸家路途上的客旅。

親愛的Winnie,
我們在中神的體驗營同組認識了, 您和智安給我的感覺是親切溫暖的, 您們也是我最早認識的沙宣家家人! 中神畢業後的十多年, 我們雖然不常見面, 但聽到您們的動向, 都總是傳遞著對神的信心及倚靠, 那些都是風浪中歷鍊的果子, 也感染著身邊的人. 真的謝謝您們這樣竭力為主而活, 對我也是一份激勵.

在這段日子裡，為您們一家及飛飛禱告, 求神深恩厚愛大大圍繞著您們、安慰著您們, 願神的光繼續照亮您們的路途.

智安:

初次認識你是1995年盛夏你初到悉尼，我們在足球場上見面知道你是團友Tracy的哥哥。後來你尋覓住所和我成為鄰居，幾年之間大家經歷在同一所大學繼續進修，你和Winnie圓婚，Tracy患癌事跡拍成福音電影等。輾轉間我們各自回港，飛飛來到你家，兩家人各帶女兒相見，Winnie患病，Winnie飛飛定居澳洲待你團聚，至數月前得知你患上重病至元旦日目送你返回天家等廿多年的情景，在寫這段悼文時又再一遍又一遍重溫。

大家都認識你沉靜、好學、文質彬彬的一面，我尢其深刻的是你對信仰的深化及對上主的依靠，面對Tracy及幾位家人的病患，甚至Winnie以至自己在生死的邊緣，你對主的信靠仍是堅定的，對前路的決定權是順服的。你對家庭有愛、對生命有依戀，然而在最終的結局前你仍是作順命的兒女，走上順服的路。和你相識多年，同樣有太太女兒，同樣面對人生最後一小段跑道，當然明白一場人生風暴打亂整個計劃，中止人生一個小小的平靜結局這個謙卑要求時，是多麼的慌亂和不明白，那份掙扎和艱難實在令我不寒而慄。想到人子耶穌走上十字架時都有求天父撤走苦杯，然而在最後衪所求的是主旨得成。天父呼召我們這些基督的門徒，要「存心忍耐，奔那擺在我們前頭的路程，仰望為我們信心創始成終的耶穌」（希伯來書12章1-2節），就可避免「疲倦灰心」（3節）。我們的人生勢必會面對狂風暴雨，但我們在主耶穌裡，緊緊地倚靠祂，便能戰勝人生的暴風雨。

「在沒有指望的時候，因信仍有指望」的信心，是怎樣的信心？我和太太在元旦日探望彌留的你時，沒想到正是你被接天家的時候。這幾句詩歌就在耳邊嚮起，提醒我們的是你向主曾求「兩般皆可」的境遇：

「我願緊握恩主聖手，甘心樂意隨主行走，
遇禍遇福兩般皆可，因有耶穌親手領我。

到時完成一世路程，靠託主恩完全得勝，
死亡冷河我不怕過，因有耶穌親手領我。

耶穌領我，耶穌領我！耶穌天天親手領我！
我願為主忠心僕人，因蒙主恩親手領我。」

弟兄，以你為榮。那美好的仗你已經打過了，當跑的路你已經跑盡了，所信的道你已經守住了。今日你與主在榮美天家中，與世伯、伯母、姊姊及Tracy重聚，不再有痛苦眼淚，靠賴主的恩典完全勝過一生中的不同風暴。

We received a sad news in this week that Dr. CO Chan passed away on 1st Jan 2022. Dr. CO Chan is one of eight founding member of CityU EngD Society in 2005. He is six sigma expert in Hong Kong and President of International Six Sigma Council (ISSC).

The Department is saddened to learn about the loss of Dr CO Chan, who was an outstanding alumnus of the EngD programme. Dr Chan was an expert in quality management with a wealth of industrial experience. He contributed to teaching courses in engineering management and quality improvements.

Dear CO,
Even though your journey on Earth was rudely and brutally shortened by your illness, yet you have left much for your family, friends, and colleagues to remember you by.
Your wife shall remember your intimate company as you both traversed the ups and downs of your marriage to create your family. Your daughter shall recall the many moments when you demonstrated your unconditional love toward her. Your friends shall always hold dear to their hearts your contribution to their lives and that you lived in the grace of the Lord and honoured His name. Your colleagues shall memorialize you as an industrious teacher and innovative researcher, and above all, a good team player.
As you rest in the loving arms of the Lord, know that you have left indelible footprints in the life of many who had the great fortune to cross paths with you.

Dear Winnie and Fei Fei,

^“For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the LORD's word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the LORD, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. ¹⁶For the LORD himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. ¹⁷After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air. And so we will be with the LORD forever.”  (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17)

We, in the family of First Light Care, share your grief and pain over the passing of Chi On, your loving and caring husband and father who is so dear to you.  We know that only God can understand the feelings in your heart right now. We pray that God will comfort your heart and fill your soul with love and peace. Our prayers and love are with you and your family.

May you feel God’s grace and mercy, knowing that Chi On is now in the loving arms of God! May the grace of God fill you with peace as you remember that one day you will be reunited in His kingdom!

We pray that God will shine His light on you, guide you and guard you through each day in the days and years ahead!
